Transaction confirmation is the process of adding a transaction to the blockchain.
The confirmation process is necessary to prevent the reuse of the same funds. As soon as the sender transfers the money, the transaction is sent to the network to be included in a block. Each subsequent block in the chain is considered an additional confirmation. When a transaction receives a sufficient number of confirmations, it is considered completed, and the funds are transferred to the destination.
The speed of the confirmation process depends on various factors, such as network congestion, transaction fees, and internet connection speed. Typically, transaction confirmation takes from half an hour to several hours, although during periods of high network load, it can take from 2 to 14 days. The number of confirmations required for a successful deposit varies for each currency.
