What is a hash (Tx ID, hash) of a transaction

The hash of a transaction is its unique identifier in the blockchain systеm. The transaction hash looks like a random set of letters and numbers. For different cryptocurrencies, the hash has its own length.

What it does

A transaction hash allows you to:
  • Find the transaction in the blockchain
  • Check its status (pending / confirmed)
  • View the amount, sender, and receiver addresses
  • Verify that the payment was sent

Where to check it

You can find the transaction hash in the service or wallet used to send the payment. It can also be checked in a blockchain explorer corresponding to the network:
  • Bitcoin — blockchain.com
  • Ethereum / USDT ERC-20 — Etherscan
  • TRON / USDT TRC-20 — Tronscan

When it appears

The transaction hash appears immediately after the transaction is broadcast to the network, even if it has not yet been confirmed. It can be used to track the payment status until full blockchain confirmation.
